  • adaptive resuse - retail repositioning

  • The goal of this project was to transform a previously occupied space within a downtown Atlanta parking garage into a dynamic restaurant-entertainment venue. The existing site featured a deep floorplate of nearly 8,000 square feet, with limited natural light and a heavy, brutalist concrete facade.

The initial design objective was to open up the interior and exterior as much as possible—introducing transparency, light, and visual connectivity to the street. Once openness was achieved, the focus shifted to softening the harsh character of the original structure. This was accomplished through the introduction of soft curves, organic forms, and lush greenery, which together created a more inviting and human-centered environment within the rigid urban framework.
