314 Clematis

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA.

  • RETAIL REPOSITIONING, 30,000 sf Retail, Food & beverage, office

  • Originally commissioned by the Woolworth family as a department store in the early 20th century, the building was later acquired by our client from the City of West Palm Beach. It is now being reimagined to house food and beverage offerings on the ground floor with modern office space above.

While the historic façade will be carefully preserved, the building is undergoing extensive renovations to support modern tenancy. A new vaulted ceiling with wraparound clerestory windows transforms the second level into high-quality office space, bringing daylight deep into the 150-foot floor plate. Selective roof demolition creates a private second-floor terrace that frames the restored façade as an architectural backdrop while opening views to the street below.

New glass storefronts, a refined canopy, updated lighting, and thoughtfully integrated signage pay homage to the building’s Art Deco heritage—celebrating its revival as one of the most prominent single-building frontages along Clematis Street..
